last 3 weeks

The last 3 weeks have jsut been getting into a routine and haven't really done anything new. We are in quite a work routine and then just come home and have dinner. I have joined a yoga group and Glenn even came for a lesson. I have signed up for Spanish again and will start this in a couple of weeks with a girl from work.
I got my driver's license and have even managed to drive myself to the mall for some retail therapy. I have found some very interesting time saving products here. One of them was a product to stop you having to iron your clothes, you just spray it on your clothes and its like magic. Does that sound to good to be true, well you're right it is. Another product is for drycleaning your clothes. You just put the clothes in the dryer with a special cloth and they are magically dry cleaned, I will let you know how that goes.
we have been to a couple of good movies including Scoop with Hugh Jackman and of course the Leonard Cohen movie "I'm Your Man". There are lots of new TV shows starting next month which sound good and athe new series of the old ones continue, so I will know what happens in Lost and Desperate Housewifes etc.
We went for a drink last night at the oldest hotel in Austin. It is a really lovely old building with lots of history. We then went for a walk along the Warehouse district where it is all happening. Lots of hotels had "welcome back student" signs everywhere for the uni students. The population has doubled since uni has started back and the traffic is twice as bad with 20mph speed limit past every school.
On Thusday night we went to a restaurant called the Outback. It is an Australian theme with lots of pictures of Australia scenery and boomerangs hanging on the walls. All the menu items are called something Australian. The speciality is called blooming onions which are big onions dipped in batter and deep fried. Can't say I have ever heard of that in Australia and it sounded quite revolting so we passed on that one.
Glenn has to have a tooth out on Thursday which will cost about $500 even with health insurance so I would hate to know how much it would cost without insurance.
The Rolling Stones are coming to Austin next month and the tickets are on sale at the supermarkets. Tickets are $95 for standing room and then increase to $250 so we thought we might just listen to them from our balcony as it is an outdoor venue close to where we live.
We have a long weekend coming up in 2 weeks time so we have booked a flight to Albuqurque and Santa Fe in New Mexico.
Will write again after our weekend away
